Take a guided hike "out of bounds" on Vendovi Island

Cruise from Anacortes to verdant Vendovi Island for a special look at rare wildflowers on grassy meadows in places the public doesn’t normally get to see. Participants should be prepared to hike about 3 miles, including some off-trail scrambling over varied terrain. Wear good hiking footwear and be prepared for changeable weather. Bring your own water. Lunch will be provided.

Registered attendees will receive an email with detailed information a week prior to the event. Departure will be from Skyline Marina, 2011 Skyline Way, Anacortes, WA 98821. The marina is a 5-minute drive from the ferry terminal. We will do our best to arrange rides from the ferry terminal to Skyline Marina for walk-on ferry passengers.

Fee: $65, includes boat transportation and lunch. Limited to 25 guests.

For guests coming from the islands, the ferry options are limited, especially (we regret) for Lopez Islanders. To get to Anacortes/Skyline Marina by 10:15am, these are the closest available ferry times:

From Friday Harbor: Depart 8:05am, arrive in Anacortes 9:10am
From Orcas and Shaw: Depart from Orcas at 8:55am, Shaw 9:10am, arrive in Anacortes 10am
From Lopez: Depart 7:45am, arrive in Anacortes 8:25am

We will make every effort to return to Skyline Marina no later than 2:30pm, in time for participants to catch the 3:20 departing ferry for Orcas and Friday Harbor.
