Summary

Connect with nature by slowing down and engaging all your senses at Mount Grant Preserve.

Description

A growing body of research is casting light on how spending time outdoors, and specifically in natural open spaces and forests, reduces stress and makes us healthier. We invite you to experience these benefits on SJPT-protected land during a forest-immersion walk. Our guide is Aaron Thayne, a trainee in the guide-certification program of the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy. Aaron will help us deepen our connection with nature by slowing down and engaging all of our senses while exploring the ridgetop trails of Mount Grant Preserve.

Please note: This is more of a meditative walk than a hike. Distance covered will be a mile or less.

Fee: $40 includes round-trip van transportation to Mount Grant Preserve from the Friday Harbor ferry landing.
