Peach Preserve Trail Work Party

We’ll be putting the finishing touches on our recently upgraded trail through Peach Preserve on Guemes Island. Peach Preserve is the most easily accessible SJPT preserve on Guemes Island, treasured by locals and visitors. This trail previously had issues with seasonal flooding, so last fall we built a raised turnpike, but there is more work to be done. We will be capping off the top of the walkway with a layer of crushed rock to help shed water, and shoring up the sides of the trail with soil.

This project will involve heavy lifting, digging, wheelbarrow and shovel wielding. Tools will be provided but you’re welcome to bring your own as well.
